TECHNAX acquires a stake in OSMINA Welding GmbH — toward an integrated offering, from welding components to fully automated lines
TECHNAX, a French designer and manufacturer of special welding and brazing machines, announces the completion of its equity stake in the German company OSMINA Welding GmbH, a specialist in micro resistance-welding components. This partnership creates a complete offering, from individual components to fully automated production lines.
TWO DIRECTLY COMPLEMENTARY AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Founded in 1989, TECHNAX designs and manufactures special machines for welding and brazing metals, mastering four technologies: resistance welding and braze-welding, induction brazing, laser welding and ultrasonic welding, from manual workstations to fully automated lines. Based in Saint-Priest, near Lyon, the company has more than 45 employees and generates over 60% of its revenue from exports.
Founded in 2023 and based in Ottersweier (Baden-Württemberg, Germany), OSMINA Welding GmbH develops and manufactures components, sub-assemblies and special machines for precision resistance welding, along with world-class expertise in sawing tools.
A COMPLETE VALUE CHAIN
End customers can now rely on a single point of contact, whatever their entry point: a welding component, a development station, a semi-automatic machine or a complete assembly line.
▪ Upstream, the component and the process: OSMINA contributes a micro-welding technology building block — heads, grippers, compaction modules, controls — validated in the lab on fine assemblies (copper, enameled wires, thin sheet metal, cells, power connectors).
▪ At the center, integration: TECHNAX turns these building blocks into qualified production equipment, backed by its design office, in-house manufacturing, and production and quality laboratories.
▪ Downstream, the complete line: TECHNAX delivers turnkey installations, from manual workstations to automated lines with inline inspection, vision systems, traceability, on-site commissioning and after-sales service.
A STRONGER INDUSTRIAL FOOTPRINT IN GERMANY
The deal gives TECHNAX an operational presence in Germany, Europe’s leading market for special-purpose machinery, and direct proximity to manufacturers, equipment suppliers and industrial players in Baden-Württemberg. In return, it gives OSMINA access to TECHNAX’s international sales network, industrial resources and capacity to handle large-scale automation projects.
