COILS
Coils are devices used in a variety of fields, including electronics and electrical appliances. In the electronics, coils are often used in circuits to store energy or filter signals. In a circuit breaker, coils play a crucial role in the tripping mechanism in the event of an overload or short-circuit.
FEATURES
Coils are generally composed of copper wires which can have different diameters and can be enameled or pure. These wires are joined to other metal parts, requiring a welding connection. Depending on the wire composition and its counterpart, different technologies will be implemented :
- Resistance welding technology and more particularly :
- Hot-staking for enameled wires
- Hard-brazing for wires joined to terminals (like in circuit breakers for example)
